Detroit Forsaken

Weeds seek an existence in the evaporated fountain of the Arnold Home. The entrance from 7 Mile Road greeted psychiatric patients and seniors in need of long-term nursing with grandeur and gardens. Care for the grounds and manor stopped in 2004 and the facility was scheduled to be demolished in 2008. It still remains, like the army of other condemned buildings in Detroit, due to lack of city funds to execute the demolition.
